Apple says the reason why the White iPhone 4 isn't here yet is that they're more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July.
Although I like the look of the Black, I'm waiting for the White. I've used both colors on iPhone 3G and my verdict is that the Black one is way too sensitive with scratches and finger prints. (They're just too noticeable on black surface.) No, I don't like covers and cases on my phone.
